Chapter Beginnings
In September 1904, Alpha Theta Chapter at the University of Texas became the second Theta chapter in the South. The installing officer postponed her wedding by a week in order to preside over the ceremony in Austin, which took place during a typical Texas warm spell, with temperatures reaching 104 degrees.
