Delta Nu colony was installed at the University of Arkansas on October 29, 1966; the first Theta chapter to be established in the state of Arkansas. Twenty-one collegians and six alumnae were initiated by Grand President Virginia “Jinny” Speidel Edwards and Council Member-at-Large Janice Richardson Schmuck. Alumnae who had been eager to establish Kappa Alpha Theta at this 100-year-old university attended from Arkansas and Oklahoma. Delta Nu Chapter left the campus in 1989.
