Chapter Beginnings

Delta Sigma Chapter was installed at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, during the Fraternity’s centennial year — 1970. Delta Sigma was first organized in 1967 as a local club, Kappa Theta Rho. The group’s president, initiated at the 1970 Centennial Convention, assisted with initiation and installation ceremonies in September, when Delta Sigma became the sixth active Indiana chapter. Delta Sigma Chapter left Ball State in 2008.

Notable Thetas

From the very beginning, Theta alumnae have distinguished themselves in their careers and their volunteer endeavors. In fact, some are so well-known that they’re household names, and many have the distinction of being the first women in their professional fields. The archives takes this opportunity to recognize some of our more notable sisters.
